10 people with 200 seconds to show 10 slides = a fast and furious 20 minute introduction to the Master of Design Class of 2011 show. Presenters will include current students, staff and graduates. This will be followed by cake and refreshments and a chance to look at the show and talk to the students.

12pm – 1pm
MSc Forensic & MSc Medical Art Tour
Tour starts from Reception

Take a guided tour of the Forensic and Medical Art show. Lecturer Caroline Erolin will talk you through all of the Forensic and Medical Art projects on display, telling you a bit about the journey of each student.

1pm – 2pm
We’ve Learned The Hard Way

Richard Scott, Managing Director and Executive Producer at Axis Animation, joins us to talk about what has made Axis successful and what it takes for graduates and new entrants into the industry to be successful.

Visualising the Growth of Cancer Cells through Animation

MSc Animation & Visualisation student Dylan Gauld and Daniella Schleuter, a researcher from the University of Dundee's Math department, will speak to you about their research into visualising the predictive growth of cancer cells using 3D animation. They will explain the long term goal of the project which is to assist clinicians in developing more accurate patient-specific treatment. *

Blast Theory
Meet at Reception

Julianne Pierce, curator, writer and Executive Producer at Blast Theory will join us from A Machine To See With at Edinburgh Festival to talk about network culture and art. Blast Theory are renowned internationally as one of the most adventurous artists’ groups using interactive media, creating groundbreaking new forms of performance and interactive art that mixes audiences across the internet, live performance and digital broadcasting. A Machine To See With is the first ever ‘locative cinema’ commission from the Sundance Film Festival, 01 San Jose Biennial and the Banff New Media Institute. www.blasttheory.co.uk

Master of Fine Art Tour
Tour starts from Reception

Take a guided tour of the Master of Fine Art Show. MFA students Amy Hanley and Joanna Foster will take you on a guided tour of the Master of Fine Art exhibition, introducing you to artists and revealing the inside information about their work. Artists will present and answer questions about their work.
